About Our Church

Nestled in the coastal suburb of Beacon Bay in East London, our church is a family of believers committed to the faithful teaching of God’s Word, so that people may come to know Jesus Christ and grow in maturity (Colossians 1:28). As God’s people, we gather to worship, build one another up, and bear witness to the hope of the gospel in our community.”

Our Mission & Vision

Our vision and mission is to help connect people to faith

To take Jesus to People, and bringing them into MEMBERSHIP in his family, to develop them to Christ like MATURITY, and equip them for their MINISTRY in the church and life MISSION in the world, in order to MAGNIFY God’s name.

Our Beliefs & Values

We are a Reformed Baptist church. We believe the Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative Word, revealing Christ and guiding all faith and life. We uphold the ordinances of Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper as acts of obedience and remembrance of Christ’s death and resurrection. Through faith in Jesus Christ, all who are born again by the Holy Spirit are part of His Church, called to worship, serve, and proclaim the gospel.”

What We Believe

The statements below are a short and simple summary of our beliefs. A more detailed explanation is available for anyone who would like to read more in the linked

The Bible

We believe the Holy Scriptures, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. They are the final rule for faith and conduct and fully reveal God’s will for His glory and human salvation.

God

We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in essence, power, and glory.

Humanity and Sin

We believe that God created humanity in His image, but through sin all people are fallen, spiritually dead, and separated from God.

The Ordinances

We believe Christ appointed two ordinances for believers:

  • Baptism, the immersion of a believer as a public confession of faith
  • The Lord’s Supper, a remembrance of Christ’s sacrificial death until He returns
The Last Things

We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the just and the unjust, eternal life for the redeemed, and eternal separation from God for the unrepentant.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Through His life, death, resurrection, and ascension, He accomplished the redemption of sinners. He is risen, ascended, and now serves as our High Priest and Advocate.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person who regenerates believers, indwells them, and empowers them for godly living.

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. All who believe are born again by the Holy Spirit, become children of God, and will persevere in faith to the end.

The Church

We believe the Church is made up of all who have been redeemed by Christ and regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Membership in the local church requires new birth and personal confession of faith.

We believe in the priesthood of all believers, granting every Christian direct access to God and the responsibility to proclaim the Gospel.

  • “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
– Matthew 28:19–20
